Russian Visa for pilots from EU
2012-10-31
Since November 1 the crews of regular flights from the EU need to obtain a visa to Russia.
This was announced on Friday in Moscow by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Alexander Lukashevich.
He said that at the request of foreign Ministry and the Ministry of transport pilots from EU will not be attracted to administrative responsibility until October 31.
The further extension of this moratorium is not provided however. According to Lukashevich, the total abolition of visa formalities is not provided for the members of the crew, regardless of whether they leave the board on the territory of Russia. The representative of the Russian foreign Ministry also noted that at the present time due to the lack of agreed position on the issue of official passports of the EU members, completion of the work on the project of upgraded agreement on visas between Russia and the EU is being delayed.
