Processing periods for FMS telexes

Dear Partners,

Starting February, the Federal Migration Service will change the regulations on the processing periods for regular and urgent business visa support. As always, the change was done on a very short notice, and came in force today.

The processing periods will now be counted in calendar days, and not in business days. The resulting deadlines for urgent visa support remain practically the same, or shorter, and become slightly longer for regular visa support.

We shall thus be updating your partner interface to reflect the processing periods in calendar days. Your invoices for February will be updated accordingly.

We hope that this change will make it easier to calculate the due dates for business visa support. It will also make things more transparent, as the working days in FMS often differ from the common ones.
