January 1-8, 2019 are official holidays in Russia.
The Federal Migration Service and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be closed.
All requests for Russian business watermarked invitations and telexes received after December 28, 2018 will be lodged on January 9, 2019.
IMPORTANT: Due to the duration of the official holidays Russian Visa Pro anticipates certain difficulties and delays with processing at the Federal Migration Service. Whenever possible please consider faster processing terms or alternative visa supports.
The requests for tourist vouchers, Russian business letters from authorized companies will be processed same day as usual by our team on duty, 29, December and 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, January, from 10 am to 6 pm Moscow time.

No applications for watermarked paper invitations and telexes will be submitted and no ready invitations will be issued and handed out during the official holidays.
- All requests received on November 2, 2018 and November 5, 2018 will be submitted for processing on Tuesday, November 6, 2018.

Effective July 2018, the new Federal Law #163 redefines the procedure of registering foreign citizens during their stay in Russia.
The most important change is that the inviting organizations can no longer register foreign citizens unless they actually reside in the properties owned by the organization. The available options are registration at the hotels or at the local landlords.
According to the Russian law all foreign citizens visiting Russia must register with the migration service within 7 business days regardless of the purpose of their visit. Weekends and official Russian holidays are not considered as business days.
If foreign citizens several Russian cities, they have to register in each city in case they are planning to stay there longer than 3 working days. It is strongly recommended not to ignore this procedure, as absence of registration during your stay in Russia may lead to trouble with the police, fines and difficulty in getting Russian visa in future.

The Federal Migration Service will be closed on April 30, May 1, 2 and May 9, 2018.
No applications for watermarked paper invitations will be submitted and no ready invitations will be issued and handed out during the official holidays.
Whenever possible we recommend you submit applications for faster processing so that the invitations are issued on time.
- All requests received on April 27 will be submitted to the FMS on May 3.
- All requests received after May 8 will be submitted to the FMS on May 10.
